Whenever I see Ron Paul haters on tumblr, I always imagine that part of 1984 with all the people crowded shouting at Goldstein, who represented free thought and questioning the authoritarian regime.
Dude, you do realize that Orwell implies that Goldstein is a myth, made up by The Party right? Which makes the comparison more valid than you think ahaha

So what do Tea Partiers have in common? They are overwhelmingly white, but even compared to other white Republicans, they had a low regard for immigrants and blacks long before Barack Obama was president, and they still do. More important, they were disproportionately social conservatives in 2006 — opposing abortion, for example — and still are today. Next to being a Republican, the strongest predictor of being a Tea Party supporter today was a desire, back in 2006, to see religion play a prominent role in politics. And Tea Partiers continue to hold these views: they seek “deeply religious” elected officials, approve of religious leaders’ engaging in politics and want religion brought into political debates. The Tea Party’s generals may say their overriding concern is a smaller government, but not their rank and file, who are more concerned about putting God in government.

For tonight’s entertainment, I present to you: John Boehner’s Facebook
“NO NEW TAXES,” said the retiree who likes “V for Vendetta” and “The Bible” to a American Society that is paying way less than it’s drawing out for it’s programs. I’m already getting $60-100 out of every paycheck taken out for taxes, can’t wait till we need to replenish the Social Security funds after Joyce Boykin’s generation and the Baby Boomers have their way with it.
If you envy the quality of life in the “socialist counties” in Europe, you might want to take a look at the ratios of how much they put in versus what they take out. I’d rather pool my money with the rest of society and have a higher quality of life. This must make me “Un-American.”
While Joyce Boykin is enjoying her golden years and I’m getting half my paycheck taken away by the IRS, I’d like to humbly disagree with that statement, and with John Boehner’s for that matter.
